I would suggest u call the restraunt and ask
I don't think they serve baked fries, just breaded and fried. They do however serve waffle fries which I don't think are breaded. You'd have to ask if they use a different frier
Closes at 2 am according to web site

Okay, thank you for answering.
There's a paid garage down the block and a parking lot next to it that's also paid. Sometimes there is parking on the street but that's expensive. If you're ok with walking, you can park on the residential streets for no more than 2 hours
No. Street parking only, but there is a large garage across Walnut St from there.
I kould be wrong, but i don't see any.
Large menu selections. Not bad options for the kids.
Shady Grove is way more than the sum of its parts. The food is fine, the balcony seating is very nice, the people are committed to your enjoyment, and the food is good to very good. I’d be a regular there if I were a Pittsburgh resident. Kudos to Sam for a terrific evening.
This place is clean, not too loud, great service, and cool. Food is good, location is good. Just a great place. The fries could use some seasoning, but I like them.
Two levels to the place. Saw Raggae band Truth and Rites there. Good times, dancing and good food. Reasonable beer selection without going overboard
The best damn place in the shady side!
Good quality food, large portions, reasonable prices. Recommend their buffalo chicken dip with pita bread.
What a great place to go on Thurday nights, Live music and the food is really good
First time in, really neat little restaurant! Great menu And great service. Made a custom burger with Angus, pepper jack, bacon and habanero sauce which turned out well. Would definitely stop back anytime.
One of our favorite places to eat in Pittsburgh. It’s adorable, the outdoor area is delightful, and the food is delicious. They have something on the menu for everyone! Try their brunch, too :)
The Pittsburgh salad here is amazing!
I am giving Shady Grove 2 stars for a takeout Chicken Salad Wrap I purchased Thursday 1/9/20. I was impressed by the vented to go box. This is especially important when someone orders fries as it keeps them from getting soggy. The fires were crispy in good. That brings me to the chicken salad wrap. Below is a picture 1 bite in. I am really hoping this was due to a new hire messing up the portion sizes, because wow was this disappointing. The wrap was 90% tortilla wrap and spring mix. For $12, this probably cost them no more than $1.50 to make.
I visited here with my wife, daughter, and my daughter's boyfriend. He had visited the Grove often during college and recommended it. We had great service, very good food, and a good time. Our waitress was spot on with everything and highly attentive. The beer selection was fine too. I will visit here again each time I come to Pittsburgh.
Outside seating, great atmosphere, friendly service... The food menu has so many choices - everything seems very fresh, and it was delicious. Having vegetarian options is a major plus. The drink menu isn't very extensive, but I still give it five stars because I definitely recommend eating here! (Pictured: Portabello Tacos)
Loved it, good food, good prices. Great vibes
The food was good, with a reasonable portion, the staff friendly and the prices were decent. I had a vegetarian burrito with the potato mini pancakes.
Always a good time. DJ was great tonight. Great drink specials
Shady Grove had an employee test positive for COVID 19 this week. They did not close at all...they did not inform their patrons, & they told their staff not to tell anyone. Shameful. What a disgrace
Confirmed COVID 19 cases with their staff. DO NOT SUPPORT. They did not close at ALL. I cannot believe this place. Will never go back!
Went here for dinner a few days ago. Asked to sit outside which was wonderful. Our server Chloe was amazing. She greeted us quickly and always kept our drinks full. We ordered the sweet potato tots and jalapeno dip for appetizers and they were amazing!! Very large portions as well. We both got pizza for dinner which was equally delicious. The prices are also very reasonable and they have different specials each day. 100% recommend this place. Ask for Chloe! 😁
Their happy hour deals are fantastic. Casual, unpretentious atmosphere. Makes a good choice for group outings.
Worth visiting. Located in a very cute neighborhood
Great spot with a lot of options. You can't go wrong with one of the burgers or sandwiches. I have not ordered the pizza, but the buffalo chicken sandwich and the Diablo burger are my favorites. My friends really love the sweet potato tots as a side! They have different specials everyday and lots of beer and app specials for happy hour from 5-7. Check em out!
We went there for lunch. They were out of burgers! Really?! Chicken wrap was too spicy and my lunch date said his sandwich wasn’t great either. We sat outside which was nice. High price for what you get.
Enjoyed the record-breaking warmth here last week. Flavors are fresh and shell out the extra dollar for these delicious sweet potato tots!
First, the front door to Shady Grove is on Belafonte St., NOT Walnut St. This is important, because you really should try this place! We tried a bunch of different things for lunch - pizza, jerk chicken, surf & turf (grilled shrimp & chicken skewers) and sweet potato tots. EVERYTHING was delicious! The flavors were unique, seasonings were well balanced and portions were just right. The items that came with sauces were great on their own, then great with the sauce too! The staff was very friendly and helpful when we were trying to find gluten-friendly options. I would recommend it, and we'll be back on our next visit too Pittsburgh.
Shady Grove hosts my trivia league every now and then. It's a comfortable atmosphere with nice food and good service. I'm especially a fan of their sweet potato tater tots, which are clever and very tasty and as far as I know unique to them.
Hours posted online and on store front were inaccurate. Drive out of way to try it and supposed to be open till 2am. Hope to have a better experience next time.
Pizza was delicious. Also, I'm a huge fan of the sweet potato tots!
Awesome salads! My favorite, tho, is the waffle fry appetizer!
After being insulted at the Union Grill we were greeted by a friendly wait staff and had a great waitress named Jessica. The waffle fries and buffalo chicken dip were excellent. We'll be back!
The food is delicious and nice location
Always great service and great food!Awesome daily specials as well!
One of my favorite places to eat when I visit Shady Side. Delicious salads, great pizzas. Lots of options, you'll enjoy whatever you choose
Very high quality food. Great for a brunch with friends and family. Service was wonderful, highly recommend!
Quality control needs to be addressed. Before a beer went out, one server used a straw to try it. Another girl used her fingers to grab what seems to be a hair in a glass. Reached in twice and on second time her finger touched the wine. No thanks. ✌🏼
I like Shady Grove a lot. They have decent specials and food, and are often much more mellow than Mario’s. I like the presentation of their large salads in big metal bowls. Wednesday half price wine night is a lot of fun... and there is a DJ that turns the upstairs into a dance floor. Deducting one star for a several minor things:- The flow in the restaurant is kinda weird (both seating areas and in the kitchen which is partially open. This leads to a weird mix of over and under attentiveness at the bar, a strange paradox. - they have guacamole deviled eggs on the menu... they’re pretty good, but they are just a hard boiled egg with guacamole on top... not really a deviled egg at all. - I don’t care for the sweet dough pizza crust very much, but if you like that style, it is pretty good. - there is a pretty constant stream of delivery drivers waking in to pick up food, but again the spacing is weird.
I don’t believe I’ve ever actually eaten at the restaurant; however, we have ordered from them multiple times through Uber Eats. The food is delicious and well priced. I would eventually like to stop in when the COVID pandemic is over.
Great drink specials for a Saturday night ($5 vodka drinks). The food was incredible. The atmosphere was lively and hip. We were seated right away our waitress was friendly and super helpful with recommendations. Great experience, definitely will go back again.
Awesome veggie burger made of black beans and brown rice. We enjoyed the half prices at the happy hour. Try sweet potato tots
Have a beer eat a burger with the crispy fries..Great summer Chilling place as they have outdoor sitting...My burger was cooked to perfection (medium) as I ordered it..I like the burgers here better than other places..which are mostly miss or hit...Nice ambience...!!You get CBD drinks here...!!I do recommend the swiss burger with apple wood bacon...!!
Food was tasty, waitress was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was really relaxed, maybe because we got there after the band had left. Low noise level, easy to have a conversation when we went. Seems like it could be a pretty busy place during peak hours. 5/5!
Ordered 2 burgers and a buffalo chicken wrap. Wait for food after ordering was over 30 minutes. The wrap was fine. Tasty and very spicy sauce. The burgers had grissle and bone fragments in the meat, much more than one would expect. The fries were good.
Very slow, slow service, slow cooking.. the waiting is too long even there are empty tables. 20min for appetizer and 45 min for main course. .and shady stick is exactly like a pizza. Burger served cold. After the dinner, whole family were thirsty all night long, suspecting the food were added with msg...
The drinks, food are always good. I look forward to their live band the on 1st Thursday
They've got OUTDOOR SEATING! With the current covid-19 situation and the restrictions, you can still find a spot if you get there early on the weekend for dinner. Great menu options ranging from taco's, salads, etc. Good selection of beer, they have happy hour from Mon-Fri 5-7 pm. Our server, Kaylin (probably got spelling wrong), was fantastic. She checked in to make sure we needed anything, brought the food on time, was very courteous even though we stayed right until closing. Will definitely visit again!
Food was excellent! The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating which is perfect for nice nights. The menu was quite extensive but everything looked fantastic and unique. I tried the fish tacos and a chicken sandwich - both were better than than expected for the price. Medium to Large portions. Wait staff was not overly attentive but not bad.
Beautiful Sunday afternoon brunch on second floor outdoor seating.
Great experience, friendly staff
I’m obsessed with shadygrove! The salads are huge and absolutely amazing. I’m gluten free and my sister is vegan and we always find something to eat. There are so many choices, a lot of menu items can be modified to be gluten free or vegan. This is my go to place to bring picky eaters in Pittsburgh, everyone finds something and loves it!
I love this place. Great food, awesome ambience very near to my house 😅
